CABINET APPOINTS FEPULEA’I ROGER TOLEAFOA AS NEW CHIEF OFFICER OF THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRY AND LABOUR [M.C.I.L.]

[GOV’T. PRESS SECRETARIAT]: The Prime Minister, Hon. La’aulialemalietoa Leuatea Polāta’ivao Fosi Schmidt, officially announced in his press conference on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, the Cabinet’s approval of the appointment of Mr. Fepulea’i Roger Toleafoa as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Labour [M.C.I.L.] for a three-year term.

He has been the Assistant Chief Executive Officer for the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Labour for 13 years and has served the government for 22 years from the same Ministry.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the South Pacific, a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Studies, and a Master of Development Studies from the National University of Samoa.
